Christmas at Rock City

My son called when he was about 40 miles away and said they were going to visit Rock City and wanted me to go with them. I had made plans to go shopping with a friend already but the rainy weather caused me to decline the offer.  He called again, I decided to go.  I  postponed the shopping until tomorrow.

We endured drizzling rain with the rest of the crowd but the Christmas light displays were worth it.  Walking through the park will take about an hour, depending on how many times you stop to snap a picture. There are printable coupons online for a discount on admission. If you like nature, classic fairy tales and Christmas lights you will not be disappointed!

Where Christmas began. One Nativity scene, songs include Joy to the World and Silent Night along with other Christmas favorites. The other Nativity is done in lights as the Christmas story is read from scripture.

The park path has small hills and some of the steps proved difficult for me because of a knee injury. Just an advance warning if you have physical limitations.

There is so much more to see than what I have shared in this post. If you haven’t already, I hope you have the opportunity to visit Rock City someday.

Merry Christmas to you, wherever you are on the map.
