Things are always moving, transforming, shifting. But it is constants that make us feel safe. Those good things that do not change. Unmovable things. What keeps you steady in the storm? Is there anything in this world that doesn’t change? Is there anything not of this world that never changes? I have a answer based on scripture but I will not share it, finding out is easy enough if you really want to know.
If we say it is our faith in God, family, friends or a career, it will be tested. If we say it is our family, trouble or death will steal them. Almost everything is subject to change. As Job discovered, there are times when family, friends, or wealth cannot save you, and God will be silent.
A confusing subject
Angels are defined in the Bible as spirits. Psalms 104:4- Who makes his angels spirits…Hebrews 1:14-Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? Merriam-Webster defines angel as: a spiritual being that serves especially as a messenger from God or as a guardian of human beings. And defines spirit as: (1)the force within a person that is believed to give the body life, energy, and power. (2) the inner quality or nature of a person (3) an animating or vital principle held to give life to physical organisms 2: a supernatural being or essence: asa capitalized : holy spirit b : soul 2ac : an often malevolent being that is bodiless but can become visible; specifically : ghost 2d : a malevolent being that enters and possesses a human being.
How is it that angels left their first state and married human women, unless they have creative power? Jude 1:6
State (noun): 1. the particular condition that someone or something is in at a specific time. 2. a nation or territory considered as an organized political community under one government. 3. of, provided by, or concerned with the civil government of a country. 4. used or done on ceremonial occasions; involving the ceremony associated with a head of state. State (verb): 1. express something definitely or clearly in speech or writing. 2. present or introduce (a theme or melody) in a composition.
Since these are fallen angels we know they had already been cast out of Heaven, the words state and dwelling are not addresses on physical streets. Angels are already eternal beings so I do not believe these scriptures are referring to the mind or soul.
Did they transform their spirit bodies and become flesh? Scripture says that our bodies are the temple of God, that Christians will be changed who are alive at the arrival of Christ (changed from flesh into spirit bodies) 1 Corinthians 15: 50-52. This must mean fallen angels have creative power. I can think of no other way to explain the ability to reproduce, they had to change. The Bible refers to the body of Christ as consisting of all Christians. And as a tent: So while we are still in this tent, we sigh under our burdens, because we do not want to put it off but to put it on, so that our dying bodies may be swallowed up by life. No wonder atheists think Christians are illogical, crazy. Scripture states many times that fallen angels/evil spirits possessed humans. But Genesis 6:1-5 does not say this is the case. And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
Fallen Angel D.N.A
The Bible says the angel/human unions produced …giants in the land, men of renown. Am I reading that right? Angels are identified as spirits (not flesh and blood beings) in some passages and in others are able to reproduce? How is this possible? The only way I might be able to explain this (not prove it) would be to say perhaps these fallen angels possessed human men. This is getting funnier as I try to reason…beings who are spirit that mated with humans without flesh bodies? Perhaps the following video will help sort things out.
The Holy Spirit
The virgin birth is also a union of flesh and Spirit. Scripture says: The angel replied to her:” The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the holy One to be born will be called the Son of God. Luke 1:35
I will stop here with this subject. I’ve never heard it explained, just accepted as truth when mentioned from the pulpit. According to the scriptures, spirits can create children through a union with a human. If you can explain this further I would love to hear from you.
And you thought nerds were boring…
One of my favorite scientists/agnostics is Neil Degrasse Tyson. How can you not like this guy? In the video below he answers the question: Do you believe in UFOs?
Scientists are always searching to prove truths or solutions not yet realized. They search to prove something new, something not yet discovered-but believe it exists; that sounds like faith to me.
My first Shepherds Pie
How could I have been raised in the south and never heard of this dish until a few months ago and never tasted it until today? From what I gather, the pie can be whatever you want in it. Mine started with a big layer of ground chuck, then frozen peas, a pound of fried bacon, two layers of cheese (Pepper Jack and Colby) corn, sauteed onions and mushrooms, carrots, layer of cheese, mashed potatoes and topped with, yes, more cheese. I know, major bad for me but oh so good!
If you have not read the blog that explains how my mind works, there will be times when you may not understand what I am trying to say. My mind turns things around, and uses one word for another; an example is using the word irrational for illogical. Sometimes I construct a sentence mentally, but when it is typed words are missing. Letters and numbers are often read or typed backwards. I do not know a positive way to share this with you, there is nothing positive about it. Made in His image, formed after His likeness?Well, we are eternal beings. We are creative, have emotions, have talents in various arts, ability to reason, and other traits scripture states about God. I will let you know when I step out on nothing and create a universe.
Much love ❤
